The beautiful, sheltered beach of Dessimi
On the eastern side of Lefkada, near the village of Vlychos, there is the beautiful, sheltered beach of Dessimi. It is located in a small cove to the east of Meganisi. The largest part of it is covered with sand and small pebbles and is easily accessible by car. There are canoes, boats or water bikes to rent for you to take incredibly interesting trips. The beach is relatively shallow, its waters have the well-known green-blue color of the Ionian Sea, and is ideal for families with children. On the beach there are olive trees that offer natural shade for visitors, both sides of the bay are heavily wooded, and there is a lush green rock behind the beach.
Worth seeing: About 300 meters from the beach there is the cave of Ag. Nicholas, approximately 20 meters deep and 15 meters wide. There is a cave with a pebbly beach inside that will impress you when you visit it.
In the surrounding area there are 2 camping grounds, cafes and taverns with unique fish and other local dishes.
Porto Katsiki beach looks truly fascinating surrounded by incredible hills which make it accessible only by 80 steep steps descending along the cliff or by boat.
When it comes to Agiofili beach you can think of a little piece of heaven in the south of Lefkada, located just a few kilometers away from Vasiliki village.
Kathisma is arguably one of the most beautiful beaches of Lefkada located 15 km southeast of the main town, close to the village of Agios Nikitas.
